I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Bluestone Real Estate Services (Portland, OR)
Interview
Interview was with who would be a direct supervisor, and their supervisor. Full transparency about what the role would entail, including potential downsides. They asked great questions, were personable, and were not shy about applauding immediate strengths they could see in the interview.

Question 1
How would you handle an unforeseen crisis with a typically difficult customer?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bluestone Real Estate Services (Portland, OR) in Sept 2020
Interview
Initial phone screen with the human resources director as well as a phone conversation with the president. From there it moved to an in person interview at the office to look around and meet more of the team. Prior to employment there was also a background check and drug screen.

Interview
I have to say the response time after you apply was great and speedy. The phone interview was a great informal discussion and gave a comfortable feeling. However, the big issue and concern for me was the multiple reschedules for the initial interview that took place due to busy schedules or last minute issues or meetings. I found this to be an issue as I felt if a company is interested in you or filling the position they would dedicate that time scheduled to the person they want to interview as it says a lot about the company to the applicant when they are consistently put off. When they were finally able to meet the feeling was not as comfortable as the phone interview and it was more of a panel interview than a single one on one.
The people I met were nice and dressed professional. I was not given to much detail when I asked what a typical day was for a person in this position but yet it was skirted around and explained just the general basics. I was asked multiple times about my long term goal as if I would change my stance later in the interview. I do commend the front office environment for the professional feel, the front desk person was quite nice. One thing I would say to HR is that if you do choose to not hire a person please at most shoot them over an email stating that person wasn’t selected and you chose to move onto other applicants that fit the position more closely. Doing this shows that you care and shows the professionalism of the company your serve and that no matter how busy you are, you at least want to thank the person for the sit down.
