The interview process started with a phone screening, then followed by two follow up interviews. None were difficult and the interviewers were very friendly. I did note that every question was preselected and the interviewers tried to type out answers verbatim. Due to the focus on being to type out the responses, it seemed as though they were unable to listen effectively and further engage. I was disappointed to recieve a seemingly autogenerated rejection email instead of a phone call. Also, all follow up communication came later than stated.
Ultimately, I was most disappointed for everyone involved to hear that they chose an internal candidate. I am a firm believer that if there is a qualified internal candidate, that option should be interviewed/persued first. By not doing so, the internal canidate was undermined and disrespected and all external candidates were most likely wasting their own time/efforts without realizing so.
