I applied for a job posting and recruiter did the screening within two weeks, which I passed. Two weeks after that was a screening by the hiring manager, which I passed. Two weeks after that was an interview by a panel that consisted of a Director, two Sr. Managers and two Financial Analyst. Prior to the panel interview, I was asked to submit in advance my thoughts on "Human Access to Space and Space Flight". In addition, I sent in a PPT that included an introduction of myself, why Blue Origin (BO) and three examples of finance projects that followed the STAR (situation, task, action and results) format.
The panel interview started with a review of my PPT, which I spent three days to prepare. It appeared that the panel was completely engaged and we only had enough time to review two of the three projects. This was followed up by the five - 30 minute interviews that deep dove my financial acumen. In addition to the three project reviews, I would prepare an additional 10 STAR examples (2 per individual interview) that cover various themes. Finally, have a list of questions that you would like to ask the panel to help you decide if BO is a fit for YOU.
The hiring Manager closed the interview and said that I would hear back from HR the following week. Since I had not heard, I checked my BO's job board and found out that my status had switched to "Considered, Not Selected".
