I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Blue Origin in Apr 2017
Interview
What an easy process. I loved it.
Initial contact was a phone screen. I had already accepted another mechanical design position in the midwest, so Blue expedited the process and got me in within a few days. I was told this is generally not the case and that you can expect 2 - 3 screens with different dept people.
I went in, and was given a tour of the facility. I fanboy'd it hard. After that I sat down with 2 members of the engineering team and spoke about projects I'd done in class (Renton Tech) and any experience I had. Unfortunately, I did my internship in Civil design and didn't yet have the relevant skills in Creo. But they did suggest taking the position in the midwest. To date I am now versed in Autocad, Creo, Solidworks, and starting next week, NX (which is used by SpaceX!)
I really really enjoyed the process. Blue Recruiter Annie Philipsen was just awesome. I cant wait to reapply!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
GD&T knowledge. One of the engineers marked out a few basic symbols on a napkin and asked what they were. Easy as that.
