I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Blue Apron (New York, NY) in Oct 2016
Interview
Met Blue Apron at my college's career fair and dropped off a resume. About a week or two weeks later, I got an email asking to schedule a Skype interview in two days. I thought that the sudden nature of this request was a bit disrespectful of my time, but nevertheless I made time and went through with the interview.
During this first round Skype interview, I spoke with two more senior engineers on the team. They were both very friendly. We talked a bit about my past projects and experiences, then went into a technical problem. I don't recall what the problem was exactly but I remember thinking it was very easy and simple.
Following that interview, I heard back a few hours later saying that I had been selected for a final round interview. Again, the request was to do the interviews in two days. Most companies typically have an onsite as the final round interview, but Blue Apron only had two Skype interviews. These interviews were very similar to the first round and consisted of a discussion of my experiences/projects and then a simple coding question. The interviewers were very friendly.
I heard back a few weeks later saying that I would be extended an offer. At this point, I hadn't visited the office yet so Blue Apron offered to fly me to New York and have me meet the team and learn more about what they were working on. During my visit, I met some more engineers on the team, had a lunch, and toured the office. Everyone I met was clearly very passionate about Blue Apron's mission. Throughout this visit and the entire process, I felt very welcome. It is evident that Blue Apron only hires passionate people who are friendly and have no egos.
I was seriously considering their offer, but ultimately declined because I received a better offer at another company.
The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Apron
Interview
Company absolutely does not respect your time.
HR call
HM call with some domain knowlege questions
Take home due by EOD of sent email
Onsite no LC required. Pretty easy conversational and talk about take home proj.
Told HR I was on a tight sched due to other offers coming and would not respond or acknowledging to any of my follow up emails. Complete waste of time and tc isnt the best. Would not recommend unless u wanna get ghosted after investing time
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Apron (New York, NY) in Aug 2021
Interview
I had a short phone screen, then a video interview about my resume experience and the role. After that I had a roughly 6 hour onsite (also over video) that was 4 interviews (behavioral, systems, coding, culture fit). The whole process was generally friendly but after nearly 7 hours of interviews they simply didn't reply to any follow-up. I wouldn't have minded if I hadn't invested so much time in the process

Question 1
Tell me about the systems used in your previous projects
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Apron (New York, NY) in May 2018
Interview
First round: pre recorder questions to be answered in a video recording
second round: Online hangout interview with manager, asked questions related to resume and projects. Another interview with a teammate which involved a medium leetcode coding question. Passed all the test cases. Overall interview went great. I was told I will be contacted in few days by the recruiter.
Never heard back from Blue Apron. I tried to follow up couple of times, but didn't get a response. This was the worst interview experience for me. Blue Apron doesn't value your time, will never reply you back, not even a rejection template email. I suggest people to not waste time by applying for Blue Apron.
