Recruiter reached out and setup a 30mins with HM.
HM was receptive to my past experience but eventually I got rejected.
Below are the red flags from the interview:
First, I felt it all came down having experience in a domain that was not even on the job posting.
Second, the HM asked in what areas of the job do I consider myself an EXPERT. I consider myself a growth oriented person and there are always new things to learn on a day to day basis.
My hunch is they wanted a PM who could come in start firefighting from day 1, which is a sign of poor team culture

Recruiter screen, hiring manager screen, behavioral loop (STAR model), and XFN conversation (3.5 hours total interview time). This format is standard in Tech/FinTech. You need well-thought-out STAR examples that are relevant.

Relatively straight forward, standard recruiter screen talking about salary expectations, tell me about yourself and experience, take home and four rounds of onsite interview followed by offer/no offer. One of the rounds is a HM pitch for the role and to answer any questions that you may have about Square and the role.

Interview
Started with a phone call with a recruiter, then a conversation with the hiring manager and lastly a four-part technical interview. The entire interview process was fairly efficient and took about four weeks.
