I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Blizzard Entertainment
Interview
I applied online with a referral from a friend who was also working there at the time. His role was similar to mine. After a few days, to my surprise, I heard back almost immediately. The art team passed me their standard FX test.
I spent about 1.5 weeks on the test even though they said I could spend up to 2 weeks. At the end of the test, I had my friend evaluate the test and he was impressed with what I could come up with. He explained to me that what Blizzard is looking for is can they take your art test and drop it in to the game right NOW, if so, you pass the art test. I passed the art test.
The next phase was the 30 min phone interview with the team. The interview went smooth, but the only thing that stood out was that I asked them if they played any other games other than Blizzard games, and they seemed almost offended. The final phase would have been an onsite interview, but we did not get that far.

Question 1
They were curious if I had played the game I was applying for (Heroes of the storm) and they asked me which one of the FX could use the most work right away.
I interviewed at Blizzard Entertainment (Irvine, CA)
Interview
There was a recruiter screening, an art test, hiring manager chat, then several panels. Pretty standard, everyone was very nice and all of my interviews ended up being great conversations.

Interview
Started with a HR quick call. As I'm international, they say they'll look into the O1 VISA process asap to see if it's possible for me. Then met up with two art director/lead. All quick chats about my experience and portfolio. Then they say there will be an art test. Later the HR contacted and said the VISA would be difficult for me to get so they'll stop the interview process here.
