I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Blend360 (New York, NY) in Apr 2019
Interview
The first round was an one-way video screening followed by phone screen with a Sr. data scientist working through your resume. Nothing to complain the first two rounds. However, what really frustrated me was the onsite interview. I was told the last minute that the schedule got updated and need to wait another 30 minutes to get started. ( I came early so I waited around an hour....)
I had four rounds in total. Firstly, the HR told me in the call that I will be given an dataset and answer a business problems given the data available.
However, the assessment was actually a written assessment and asked me to finish six long programming questions ( R, Python and SQL) in 30 minutes, which was totally different from I was told from HR and expecting. What's worse was the case presentation. I was interrupted throughout my presentation. A couple interviewers had to join another meeting so they left and another interviewers came in after that. I don't feel they respect candidates and the entire hiring process is was not organized.

Question 1
Tell me a time when you have different opinions from your colleagues and how you cope with that?
We appreciate your feedback as our goal is to ensure that all candidates have a positive experience during the interview process. For this program, we ask candidates to complete a technical exercise and present a case study on a work or school project to assess his/her programming abilities and approach to problem solving. Our team is reviewing interview communications and calendaring so that going forward, candidates feel adequately prepared for this portion of the interview and ensure that interviewers do not have scheduling conflicts.
