The first step after an email conversation with the recruiter was a phone call with the manager. The manager then set up an onsite interview, which ran from late morning to early afternoon in their SF office. I got to interview with several members of the team and adjacent teams, tour the office, and eat lunch with a member of the team. After the interview, I didn't hear back immediately, so I kept in touch with the recruiter for a couple months. Then, I had a follow up call with the manager to touchbase on where I was in my job search, and a 30 minute call with a team member to confirm that it was still a good fit.
