I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Blast-One International in Nov 2023
Interview
There were (4) separate interviews: (2) video calls and (2) in-person interviews. After the final one, I received an automated message informing me they were pursuing other candidates. I did not receive a response to my request for feedback upon receiving the rejection letter.
It was mentioned multiple times that candidates are hired for their personalities instead of experience. Management would like to maintain a positive workplace environment, so the purpose of interviewing is to understand a person's vibe and to learn how they'll contribute to the company culture. My interviewers genuinely seemed to enjoy working at the company.
The company uses a screening process called Topgrading, which is a questionnaire that focuses on employment history, including references, and workplace tendencies and ambitions. I was asked to take the survey following my first virtual interview. It took roughly 20-30 minutes to complete. Be prepared to list references and elaborate on past responsibilities and job descriptions.
Overall, the interview process was pleasant, however the lack of response following the conclusion was disappointing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were few "interview" questions; it was largely casual conversations. If preparing for an interview, just relax.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Blast-One International (Columbus, OH) in May 2022
Interview
Had two Zoom interviews followed by two onsite interviews. People were friendly, but felt I was taken advantage of for ulteria motives on my second interview on site. My travel time was nearly 8 hours round trip for an hour interview. I was not compensated for travel. The first onsite went well, but meeting the owners on the second was confrontational and I believe nationalities influenced their approach.
