Like previous reviews have pointed out, this place is one weird setup. Strange people on some weird kind of power trip.
Their recruiting folks reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in working for them? Thousand Oaks is too far out in the boonies for me to even take this role seriously. But I thought why not, you never know. Looked at the interview reviews on here and it was quite a turn off. I asked the recruiting people why do they have such a stick up their backsides? Why so much attitude? They replied that they are looking for the best of the best of the best. My reply to that was that they are not Google, but some small time software house in the middle of nowhere. Their reply was that they're not Google yet, but plan to surpass them very soon. Okaaaaaaay......
Was interviewed by some software manager with zero personal skills. I kid you not, zero personal skills. Asked me the most stupid of questions (see question section). I would answer their questions and was told I was totally wrong and then I'd have to listen to them babble on for 10 minutes as to how their answer was correct and everyone else was wrong.
After a couple of questions like this, I just turned off and put my phone onto mute. I walked away, grabbed a coffee and had a five minute conversation with a co-worker. Came back and they were still babbling away, trying to inflate their ego's. I just hung up and carried on with my day. About 20 minutes later they called back saying they didn't realize the call had dropped. I told them thanks but no thanks and to bugger off.
Funny thing was, the recruiting people called me the next day, asking hoe the interview went. LMOA, don't these people communicate to each other?
