The HR interview was really friendly and welcoming, which helped set a positive tone at the beginning of the process. The screening questions during that stage were quite straightforward and normal, easy enough to handle without much stress. However, when it came to the technical interview, although the difficulty level wasn’t extremely high, the questions were outside of my core area of expertise. Unfortunately, that caused me to struggle during the interview, and I ended up choking on some of the questions. As a result, I wasn’t able to perform as well as I had hoped and ultimately didn’t pass the technical round.

The interview process included a take-home assignment that amounted to building a complete, end-to-end solution for an active company project, utilizing their proprietary data. Requiring a minimum of 50 hours of effort from an experienced engineer, this was no simple skills test. While I completed and 'nailed' the submission, it was fundamentally a form of unpaid consulting. This practice is a significant red flag. If a company avoids live technical discussion in favor of demanding multi-day projects, it often signals an exploitation. I would advise other qualified candidates to firmly decline the request and look elsewhere.
