      Interview

Online it reads to come in for an interview Monday-Friday, between the hours of 10 AM- 2 PM. However, I walked in on a Thursday morning only to find the expression of confusion on the staff members' face when I told them my purpose for coming into the establishment. I was immediately put into a room which held 15-25 dogs ranging in size from medium to huge. They wanted to see how comfortable I was around dogs, whether I would immediately begin to mop up any urine without being told to do so, and pick up the dog crap just the same. I was left in there with an employee who was already in the room when I was first led to that room. I was told to learn the dogs' names as fast as I could because I would be tested on my memory skills. I was also told that the more I called the dogs by their names, the more comfortable they would feel around me. I didn't have on a Biscuits & Bath sky blue T-shirt so I stood out even more compared to the employees those dogs come in contact with everyday. I was sniffed frequently but I expected that so it was no biggie. It was the constant teeth pulling on my clothing and having my arm in a dog's mouth every 10 minutes that bothered me. When I was taken out of the room, I was led into a room where the supervisor informed me that she wanted to hire me on the spot but that she couldn't because she isn't the hiring manager. I was told to come in for a second interview the following Monday. I showed up for the second interview and it lasted for about 10-20 minutes. I was told I'd get a callback before or by Friday and that she just had to speak to her manager. I never received a callback.
