Birketts Legal Process Engineer interview questions

I had a highly disappointing and unprofessional experience during the recruitment process at Birketts LLP. After completing a stage 1 interview, I was not contacted for weeks. Eventually, I was invited to a final interview in the Ipswich office with very short notice. While travelling to the interview, I received a call from the recruiter informing me that the interviewers were unaware of the meeting and that I should return home. Around 30 minutes later, I was told to turn back because someone had apparently become available. I arrived at the office and waited 40 minutes at reception without any communication before I was finally seen. I was interviewed by three men, which was not what had been discussed beforehand. The panel dynamic felt extremely uncomfortable. There were moments of microaggressions and even profanity during the interview. I found this behaviour to be entirely unprofessional and felt deeply discredited and disrespected. After the interview, I was suddenly told that the role would require full-time attendance at the Ipswich office. This was never mentioned during earlier stages of the process and felt like a non-negotiable demand that was imposed at the last minute. Overall, the experience raised serious concerns about the firm’s communication, professionalism, and culture. I would not recommend engaging with Birketts LLP based on how this process was handled.
