First interview with a Manager - standard interview questions, general overview of my resume, a few questions regarding my past experiences with some techniques. Asked me why this position and why BioNTech, and why did I leave academia. Second interview - this time in front of the whole team for this position, plus two associate directors (around 8 people in total). I was told to do a presentation about my previous research, the team took turns asking technical questions. No "soft skill" interview questions at this point. I was told a decision would be made in a few weeks, and around a month I was contacted to tell they chose another person. The hiring manager was kind and provided feedback, overall told me what they liked about me and what made they chose another candidate, so I was happy with the transparency of the hiring process. He referred me to another position.
