Applied on Indeed. A recruiter called me back and set up a phone interview. The morning of the interview, the VP of Marketing called me to ask me why didn't I call in? I told him there wasn't any number listed in the email. He was surprised but said it wasn't a big deal and we proceeded with the phone interview. I have to say, he was a very nice down to earth man. I received another email from the recruiter stating I got a second in person interview. I interviewed with the team I would be working with. Again, super nice people. Days later, I received an offer letter. Much lower than I was expecting and they didn't give me very much time to think about it (a business day and a half). I sent in a negotiation amount. The recruiter quickly came back and just wrote me off with no reply on my negotiation. Most companies would at least acknowledge the negotiation with a reply. The recruiter was very unprofessional. I understand this is a start-up and may have a strict budget, but the way he just wrote me off so quickly was just wrong. I would have gladly taken it if he had a different approach about it. I think BidPrime may lose great talent because of a shotty recruiter process. It's a shame because it seems like decent people work there and to have the face of the company act like this is sad. I gave this experience thumbs down because of the contact I had with the recruiter.
