Fairly laid back, genuine interest in getting to know you and background. Unfortunately I wasnt the best fit in terms of skills etc
The rejection email was personalised to me where they stated exactly the reasons.

Interview
Applied online. Got an email a few weeks later asking for a phone call interview. I couldn't do the dates suggested which were the same week as the email. The person was on annual leave the following week so we agreed to speak the week after that. I received a calendar invite and accepted it. Never received the call, double check that they had my correct phone number, they did. Emailed the day after when the interview was scheduled, never heard back. I assume they must've filled the position.

Interview
The interview process consists of three stages:
Stage 1. A telephone call (15 minutes long) where you are asked very simple questions and they go through your CV and describe the position in more details.
Stage 2. An online interview (30 minutes long) where you are asked mainly general questions and some technical questions too.
Stage 3. Online interview which takes approximately 2 hours. It consists of very technical questions that are specific to the role, where the interviewer is assessing whether your skills are compatible with what the job requires, e.g., do you have enough experience to be working with bacteriophages.
