Ghosted. Things seemed to be going well, then they just stopped replying. I know it's not uncommon for companies to have no respect for people nowadays, but I thought maybe BeyondTrust was one of the good ones. Turns out they're not
Easy interview process with just 2 interviews, no coding part. On a flip side I somehow was found not senior enough for the role that would be a step down for me.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BeyondTrust in May 2023
Interview
Very smooth interview process. Everyone I met on the team was friendly and had great things to say about the company and the culture, which made a great impression. The process was split into three rounds : 1 - Phone call with the recruiter 2- Technical round with the Director of Engineering and the Hiring manager 3- In-depth technical round with a panel of engineers The technical questions asked were fair, and if you have experience working with the stack you're applying to, you should be able to answer without much trouble. What really stood out to me during the whole process is that you can feel everyone wants you to succeed. The recruiter made sure you knew what to expect for every round, and the interviewers asked questions related to your experience, which always felt like a casual conversation to assess your skills/experience (as opposed to being quizzed).

Question 1
Brush up on high-level design, design patterns, OOP principles, framework-specific questions and you should be successful.
