      Workforce Analytics Specialist Interview

      24 Sept 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Vancouver, BC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Best Buy (Vancouver, BC) in Dec 2020

      Interview

I applied last year end, 2020 and connected with the recruiter within a week. Initial screening went well, and the next stage was a test, which was conducted within 1 hr on excel. It looked fine, and I made it to the next round of interview with 9 interviewers of managers and team members (divided into 4 groups). There were 4 other candidates on the call as well, hence each group of interviewers would interview one candidate. It looks like the interview went fine, and I was expecting to hear back from them. The recruiter mentioned that they are looking for someone to start asap, hence I should be hearing a reply soonest right? Wrong. Weeks went by, just silence. I assumed I didnt get it and moved on. However, the recruiter did something so silly by accidentally forwarding an interview meant for someone else to me. I replied and told the recruiter kindly. I also asked about an outcome of the interview I had couple of weeks, to which the recruiter said "oh yes, im supposed to get back to you and I will on Friday". Then she never did. So here, we have a low paying job (65k only) expecting a candidate with years of experience, clueless and no-attention-to-details recruiter, not to mention incredibly rude for ghosting candidates. Would I try best buy again? Nope thank you.
