Interview
The phone call I received went well and lasted longer than the allotted time. I was given the tired "we just started our search" narrative, but was promised follow up. I received no follow up, but I did send a few emails. I received no response to the first email, so I resent it asking politely for an update and expressing my interest. I eventually received a response to by second email with a vague, "I'll get back to you; still interviewing". Two weeks later, I sent another email and have not had any response. Ghosting is rather unprofessional. Also, as an executive recruiter, just be honest with the candidate. If that person is not the right fit, say so. Don't you expect the candidate to be honest about his/her background and his/her level of interest in the position?
