I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Belfort Group in Aug 2025
Interview
First round of interviews was with two creative leads, talking about experience in marketing and design, project management, etc.
Afterwards, I was sent an art test to create a 30 second motion graphic, using a mockup brief and stock assets. The interviewer said "this shouldn't take more than two hours", but of course if you want the job you spend more than two hours on your test and honestly 2 hours for the scope of what they were looking for felt unreasonably short. Additionally, part of this test was to outline your creative process, which I answered with detailed explanations and screenshots.
Lastly, there was a second interview. This was back-to-back softball questions: "what kind of creative activities do you do outside of work?", "What's a creative pet peeve of yours?", etc., and when I asked for feedback on my test, I only received compliments; "we liked this, we appreciate that you did that", etc.
A week went by and I asked for updates. Eventually they replied with an email that had incorrect grammar, thanking me for my time and telling me they went with another candidate. When I asked for feedback on my interviews and art test, they refused to provide additional information.
I was not compensated for time spent on the art test.

Interview
There were five rounds of interviews that took over a month. The first two rounds were traditional interviews with the hiring team. The third round was a writing prompt that they said would “round out the interview process”. After the third round they ghosted me for a week and a half. There wasn’t even an email after submitting my writing to say “thanks, we’ll follow up soon.” Just nothing. I wasn’t sure what was going on at that point and had to follow up for everything. They still strung me along to two more rounds of interviews with the executives that ended in a rejection email.
