      RBT Interview

      3 Jun 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Behavior Frontiers (Austin, TX) in Jun 2020

      Interview

To begin, the recruiter and I were playing phone tag with each other because she never gave me a time she was going to call and of course I was busy each time. When we eventually connected and spoke it was awful. First off, her personality was awful. I was trying to lighten the mood and ask how she was doing and what not and she was just very short. I get she has a job, but really? Then she proceeds to ask me various questions and does not seem interested what so ever in anything I say. She just says okay after each question then moves on to the next. She ends the interview with saying "I will keep your resume on file but we are looking to fill this position now" (unfortunately my Fiancé and I aren't looking at locating until later this summer due to his job) I responded with "oh okay I understand" SHE THEN SAYS "yeah so have a nice day goodbye" !!!! I was shocked. NEVER have I had an interview with someone so unprofessional. This conversation completely turned me off with the company. I wanted to tell her" you know you have to sell me on this company and job just as much as I have to sell myself ya know?!" Our conversation also only lasted 5 minutes, all of which I did the most talking. Most ABA companies I have been in contact with genuinely cared and wanted to get to know me and my experience. This lady did not what so ever. Maybe she was just having an off day, I dont know...but it was awful and so unprofessional..very disappointed.

We apologize that your phone screen experience was not a pleasant one. Just to be clear, this was not a formal interview, this a preliminary phone screen in which our recruiters ask a few questions to make sure that candidate is a match before we schedule them for a formal interview with a hiring manager. Our goal is to contact all our candidates in a timely, pleasant, and professional manner, but sometimes we are not able to answer all our phone calls at once, so we leave voicemails or get back to them when time allows. We want you to know that here at Behavior Frontiers, we truly care about our candidates and their interview experience, which is why we take this feedback seriously and make sure that we learn from it. Thank you for your honest feedback! We wish you the best of luck in your job search.
