Beautycounter Software Engineer interview questions

A few days after submitting my application I heard from the internal recruiter and we had a phone chat. After, the recruiter scheduled another half hour phone chat with an engineer on one of the teams. Then, a homework assignment followed. The engineer on the call said it should take me a couple of hours, but it took me a day. Once I submitted the homework assignment, the response came within a couple of days that they’d like me to come in for an on-site. The on-site was about 3 hours and involved chatting with 3 engineers, the architect and the project manager. The project manager’s questions were all behavioral. The engineer’s questions were about the homework & my past professional experiences. There were a couple contextual technical questions, but no whiteboarding. After the on-site I sent a follow-up but haven’t heard back from the internal recruiter who appears to have ghosted me. This is very disappointing and unprofessional since I spent so much of my time on the interview process.
