Thank you for taking the time to apply and for your feedback on how you found things. I’m really sorry that you didn’t enjoy the application process. We aim to make every candidate’s experience as positive as possible but we clearly haven’t succeeded in this case - for that, I can only apologise.
I’ll address a few of your points here, but would also be very happy to have a more in-depth conversation if that would be helpful - pop an email to jobs@beauhurst.com and I will get back to you asap.
We try to be very upfront about the duration of our interview process - there are likely to be three in-person interviews for every candidate (including a social element). We look to move as quickly as we can in-between each step but think it’s really important that we don’t rush the interviews themselves. This is partly to ensure that we make the right decision over who we hire, but it also means that each candidate can make sure that it’s the right job for them!
I’m sorry you felt that not enough research was done by those interviewing you - I can assure you that everyone read your application in advance and was fully briefed between interviews. Similar questions in certain areas can often be a sign that we’re trying to dig into something a little deeper or work something out that we don’t quite understand.
Finally, I’m sorry to hear that the feedback relayed to you by the recruiter was so vague - we think it’s really important to give detailed feedback to any candidates we’ve met in person but that appears not to have happened here. I will look into this to avoid it happening again. Please do reach out to us directly if you would like a more detailed breakdown.
I hope the rest of your search goes well and you find the perfect job soon.
