I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Battlefy (Vancouver, BC) in Jul 2019
Interview
I applied for the position and it took about a week to hear back. The initial part of the interview was a 45 minute phone call with Jaime where he provided information about the company and we chatted about my experience.
The next step was to build a League Of Legends stats application where you would demonstrate your technical abilities for both frontend and backend, as well as deploying the application. During the submission of the code challenge, there was a written section where you can reflect on the project, as well as answer a couple technical questions.
After the code challenge, three interviews are scheduled with a Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and the CTO. If the CEO is in the office, you'll likely get a chance to have a conversation with him as well! I was provided a document of the interview process, which made it very transparent about what each interview will cover, and the things they keep an eye out for.
Overall, i was extremely impressed with the company and the hiring process, it's definitely unlike any other company i've interviewed with. Jaime is super positive, fun, and had great communication throughout the entire process. All the interviewers were really friendly and easy to talk to!
