I’ve submitted my application for a housekeeping job and very soon got a reply by email for an online interview, since the team is/was in Zurich. I will be confidential, but will say that the interview was very polite and friendly, I felt no anxiety being honest about my background and motivation. It felt like a serious but very polite conversation, straight to the point. I was asked about professional experience in housekeeping (which I had none, but explained why I am a good candidate), about how long I am already in the town of work, about my permit status (very important of course that you are authorised to work), about my motivation, preferred working hours. Overall the interviewer was not intimidating or domineering at all. I was then asked to send e-copies of essential documents for employment e.g - permit/ID card, criminal record, insurance and bank numbers etc… So that I could receive an invitation to their cleaning courses which took four days to complete - two offline in Zurich and two online via google meets. Being on time for each and attendance is crucial to be hired, plus the courses are good themselves, especially if you’ve had no professional experience in housekeeping. After completion, you receive a certificate of completion, and your first unpaid three hour trial. If you get 4/5 you pass, if you get below they give you another chance and discuss what could’ve happened and how to improve. The whole process I could reach the team by the email and whatsapp they provided for any concerns or questions and updates regarding the process. Very supportive staff. I was set with a very kind client for my trial and passed. The application you receive for work is super useful and easy to use. You must also confirm the working hours and zip codes where you can work. It was also nice getting feedback by whatsapp from the team praising my work.
