I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bath & Body Works (Toronto, ON) in Sept 2013
Interview
Applied in person and was contacted that day for an interview the next week.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
First of all, it was a group interview; myself and 4 others. Make sure to look around the store before the interview so you have some idea of what products they sell, because you will be asked about lotions! The questions weren't that difficult as long as you were prepared. The manager Shawn was very laid back and helpful. He introduced himself and then asked us to introduce ourselves.
After introductions, we had to "demo" our favorite lotion from the store. It requires you to rub lotion on the other interviewee's, so make sure you're comfortable with that because if you aren't then you may not be good for this job. After you demo the lotion to the interviewee beside you, then you must demo it to the whole group! It was kind of difficult because the manager was pretending to talk so that you got distracted.
The last question that was asked was: "If I hired you, what is one thing you would be bringing to my team"? Do NOT say that you are a people person or you are a happy person, etc. Make sure you say a benefit of being hired, not a quality that you have. Almost everyone in the interview said "I"m really nice and outgoing" and he didn't seem to like those answers.
The manager told us that we would hear back in less than a week.
