I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Banfield Pet Hospital (Garner, NC) in May 2011
Interview
As I recall it was very straight forward. I interviewed with both the regional medical director and the lead veterinarian at the hospital location that I was hoping to work at. They looked at my resume and then asked pretty standard interview questions - nothing I would have considered a curve ball. The two people that interviewed me were friendly and I was pretty comfortable.

Question 1
There were several questions that revolved around honesty and not stealing hospital supplies or giving away services. For example, they wanted to know what I would do if a staff member could not afford a medication that they needed for a pet. I also recall being asked the standard what is your greatest strength and greatest weakness question.

There are 2 rounds, one with recruiter and the other with the area chief of staff. they are pretty easy taking, and the interview went really well. its not very difficult.

Question 1
Schedule felexibility, how many days i am willing towork, compenstation negootiataions
Generic recruiter questions from someone without experience in the field. Felt like they were being read out of a book and the interviewer wasn't really listening to my answers. I don't think they really care - they'll hire anyone they can get as long as you aren't a criminal or completely crazy.

Question 1
What are your hobbies? Weird question for a veterinarian position.
