🚨 Job Seekers, Beware of Misleading Offer Practices! 🚨 I recently went through the hiring process with Baker & Taylor, where I successfully cleared all interview rounds. During salary discussions, the HR team initially indicated a package of up to ₹19 LPA. However, when the final offer was presented, they structured the salary in an unfair way: ✅ Shift allowance & travel allowance were merged into the fixed salary, reducing the actual take-home pay. ✅ Despite earlier verbal commitments, the final package was significantly lower. ✅ They asked me to resign from my current company based on a "proposed offer letter which will be an offer letter format breakup sent with you on email" on your confirmation they will release the original offer letter. post resignation confirmation from the current company and the will need a proof as well before releasing the real offer letter. When I raised/escalated these concerns with the senior HR, they agreed that this was not a fair practice. However, instead of resolving the issue, they simply withdrew my candidature without addressing the concerns. 💡 Why This Matters? 1. Companies should be transparent about compensation structures. 2. Candidates should not be pressured to resign based on misleading offers. 3. Misleading salary breakdowns harm job seekers who rely on fair negotiations.
