      Interview

Very average interview overall. The recruiter seemed somewhat disinterested and appeared to be in a rush to wrap things up, which made the conversation feel a bit impersonal and rushed.

      15 Feb 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Philadelphia, PA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Baker Tilly (Philadelphia, PA) in Feb 2022

      Interview

This was a phone screen. Took about 15-20 minutes. Very early in the morning -- as the individual conducting the phone screen was not in the US at all. The individual had a very thick accent making it quite difficult to understand them, loud noise in the background and an unstable VoIP connection causing them to "break up". If companies are going to farm out their HR/Talent Acquisition process, I truly think they should be more diligent with whom they hire for the job. I say this because, after a good 15-20 minutes of questions/answers -- the "screener" informs me that the position they are calling/screening for is in Reston, VA. I indicated that I'd applied specifically for positions in Philadelphia, PA (the posting listed there were positions in multiple areas) -- to which they answered by asking how far is it to drive from Philadelphia to Reston. After checking Google, I informed them that it is exactly a 2 1/2 hour drive -- not exactly across the street. They responded that they would forward the information to their managers and asked about meeting times later in the week, which I responded with my availability. I can only hope that I speak with someone actually in my time zone.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Typical questions: Why are you looking to leave your current position? Why did you leave your last position? How much experience do you have? MS Office expertise? The usual. Admin Experience; MS Office experience; travel/conference arrangement experience. The usual and customary questions for Admins.
