I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Baker Tilly (Champaign, IL) in Mar 2013
Interview
Very friendly and profession Baker Tilly employees that interview me. Asked relevant questions about my experience and seemed actually interested to be at the interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at Baker Tilly (New York, NY) in Jan 2026
Interview
Disorganized, slow to respond. Not a good look for Baker Tilly. Recruiting team took over a week to respond beyond when they said they would. They assumed I was applying for one location and ended the process without actually asking me why I applied for where the role was. Recruiter didn't seem to know what their practice did. I ended up giving up on the process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your background, give us more detail about what we have on your resume. What prior knowledge do you have of Baker Tilly?
Very dry interviewers. Recruiter said I did great and after my interviews they stated they were not hiring anyone for the role due to macro uncertainties. Recruiter seemed upset as well about the circumstances.

Question 1
Why consulting? And how has your experience made you confident you could succeed in this role.
2 interviewers, mostly behavioral questions. Did not ask any technical/case related questions. Curious about how you solved problems, but wanted to know if you would be a good fit for the company.
