I was able to meet with the president of the corporation. He seemed to be a wise man, sharing his use of biblical knowledge and applying it in his business meeting as a motivational speaker (he allowed me to stay and listen during their team meeting.) He shared with me some excellent statistics regarding his insurance sale skills. I was very impressed with how a man with his background had managed to achieve building a corporation. He seemed to be the only person in the office with any positive energy at the moment. As a person, he seemed genuine and I personally enjoyed listening to him. I did notice he didn't let me talk much. He asked me to come back the second day. I did. He informed me that he could train me, since I've been a displaced homemaker for almost 5 years (nevermind the 8 years i worked at a major insurance company,)which would have been an honor, however, it would have been without pay. He also mentioned that I would have to give it all, everything, to the boss. Though I do believe that the Bible says we should do all things as if we were doing it onto God, with grateful hearts, in obedience, and such, I do also believe in getting paid for the time contributed to the workplace. That's also in the Bible. Pay the laborer wages due. He offered a commission-based only payout. I, too, had 3 interviews.
