The process was quick because it was internal. I applied for the job and then maybe a week or so later I had an interview. The interview itself was fairly easy, just typical questions of "What would you do in this situation?" and "How would you fix this situation?" followed by general chatter. Afterwards, I was told that I would be informed of the outcome within a week. What I got was not the position, but the same response I had heard from several previous interviews, "Keep up what you're doing! You're doing great!".
I later found out that they gave this position to a fellow whom had numerous issues with his work quality, while at the same time quite a few employees were laid off who were actually good and needed at their jobs.
