I applied online. I interviewed at Babylist in Mar 2025
Interview
I should've checked Babylist's glassdoor page before my first interview... Since my experience was similar to a few other candidates here.
Applied online, received an email from their recruiter to schedule a quick chat.
Once our call started, I could instantly see that the recruiter was not interested at all. The recruiter was not friendly, and did not seem to care about any of my answers.
It seemed like I was just being asked "standard questions", they did not really check my previous experience and regardless of what I would say, they would just move on the next question.
It really felt like they wanted to finish the call as soon as possible. (The call ended up finishing before the scheduled time, which is frustrating because I had set time aside from my day to interview with Babylist)
The call ended in a really weird way, and I was told they would reach out in the next couple of days.
Later on during the same week I received a standard rejection e-mail, which did not mention at all the interview that had happened.
Very disappointing, the company seemed quite nice on their website... But their recruiter completely removed that nice image in the first 5 minutes of the interview.
Interview with an AI agent that interprets any pause in speaking as the end of your answer. The recruiter apologized for the experience then conducted another interview (with a human!) covering the same list of questions, with no ability to respond to my answers or ask follow ups.
The other reviews are on point. Avoid. lmao
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Babylist (Oshawa, ON) in Jan 2025
Interview
The recruiter was well informed about the company culture but not the role. Although I had the technical skills in spades. My lack of industry specific experience didn't go over well.
