      Contractor Interview

      15 Jan 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BWG Foods in Dec 2024

      Interview

The manager initially contacted me via message to inquire if I could attend an interview. I participated in two rounds of interviews. During the first round, as an international employee, I was asked about my visa status. The manager posed a rather unusual question, asking, "Why do you think the Irish government will allow you to stay here?" He also commented, "Your skills match this position if your CV is not fake." Very offensive. The second round involved another manager and an HR representative. Unfortunately, their approach was impersonal—they asked questions without making eye contact and came across as mechanical. While I was answering, they began recording via laptop and notebook without prior notice or explanation. Overall, it was the most unpleasant interview experience I have encountered.
