BW Offshore Process Engineer interview questions

Interview over video conference with hiring manager and HR. Technical interview. Good questions about experience from hiring manager. Typical strange questions from HR. Quite specific experience for the job, so I believe the interview went really well. I was really excited! No response after two weeks. Got back to HR stating that I was still very interested. I was promised an answer by another two weeks (total of four). By the end of the next waiting time I had given up and knew something went wrong. Received a final position (looked almost like an automated message) after almost three months stating they would not proceed further. Frankly speaking not the way I would expect such a company to behave. It feels like the position was cancelled due to the ongoing oil crisis. Otherwise they would have said no straight away. But in the end they couldn't care less....
