I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at BSI
Interview
Approached by an engineering recruitment agency regarding the position. They forwarded my CV to BSi. I heard nothing for a month. I was then invited to interview at an assessment day.
There were several elements to the process. I was there nearly 5 hours in the end.
There was a presentation, a traditional interview, a competency interview, an observed team exercise, a practical test and an electrical test.
The process was fairly intense but went well. There was a lunch buffet provided at the end which was a nice touch. There were managers, test managers, engineers and several HR people present and interviewing. The interviewers outnumbered the interviewees about 3 or 4 to one
Originally there were meant to be a dozen or so people attending this assessment/interview morning but only a fraction turned up for some strange reason! Maybe they knew something about the job/company we didn't and changed their minds or there was a big breakdown in communication?!
I was offered the position within 24 hours.
I applied online. I interviewed at BSI (Hemel Hempstead, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
Easy interview process.Formal assessment with different tasks going through different types of scenarios, job day to day, one to one session with managers. The recruiting team there knows how to treat candidates very well and never saw a group of persons more polite and when they promise to get back to you on such and such a date they do!
