      Brand Manager Interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BRG Sports (Thousand Oaks, CA) in Jan 2019

      Interview

I had a phone screening with the HR manager that went over the position and my background. After that, I was asked to come in and meet the Brand Manager and the Director of Marketing. I had to present my ideas on what I would do to improve the softball side of the business. After this review, I was asked to come out to HQ again to meet with the graphic designers and category manager and present my ideas again. Lastly, I had a phone interview with the social media coordinator and one other remote employee. This process was very long and at the end of all of it, they told me they are putting the position on hold and they have no time table for when they plan on re-opening the position. Since then I have seen some of my ideas that I presented to them put into their softball marketing strategy. Makes you wonder if they were really looking to fill a position or just looking for ideas.
