The interview was in 2 sections, the first was a 'micro-teach' covering an open subject but aimed at undergraduates. They were looking for knowledge of the subject presented, structure of the teaching session, i.e. there was a logical flow and the accessibility of the actual presentation. Following the micro teach, they reviewed the presentation and to decide if they wished to proceed to the interview stage.
At this point, they asked some basic questions, which were very superficial. I anticipated that these were opening questions to put me at ease, and was surprised when they brought it to an end without asking any in-depth questions or discussing my career to date or enquiring about other details on my CV. They invited me to ask some question, which they seemed unable and/or unwilling to answer to any level of depth, in the process presenting their employer in a very poor way.
I can honestly say that this was not a meeting of minds, and if they had offered me a role, based upon their performance, I doubt I would have accepted. However, they have not had the professionalism or common courtesy to contact me subsequentially, despite me asking for confirmation of the outcome.
I am assuming I've been unsuccessful after 8 weeks of waiting.
Overall, a wasted day and a very poor experience.
