I was initially contacted by a recruiter at BYN Mellon, after applying online, and had a general interview going over the job responsibilities, my interests, and my experience.
After the interview, I was direct to take a coding test on HackerRank. The assessment itself was fairly straightforward (two coding problem with several hidden test cases you had to pass). I ended up scoring in the range of a qualified candidates (according to the recruiter).
Following the assessment, the recruiter said he would have the hiring manager review my application and get back to me. At this point the recruiter ceased communication and refused to answer any of the five follow-up emails I sent in the following three weeks.
The interview process was fine until this point. I'd have left a positive review regardless of the results, but the refusal to even show enough courtesy to send a rejection email or communicate with me makes this a negative review.
