After sending in my resume, I received an email to secure an interview time for one day only. Went to the morning slot, at Mary Winspear, with copy of resume and two work-related references, previously requested by BC Ferries. Had to fill out an application form and sign documents in acknowledgement of understanding the role and my availability. Turned in this information and presented valid, government-issued ID, with the application to a bc ferries employee. Was then ushered into another room, to sit at a table with two interviewers. Q and A ie. What would you do if... and tell us a situation in which... just basic common sense, think-on-your-feet type of questions. They said the 8-hr shifts are on board and you are guaranteed 7 shifts March to may then 21 shifts June to October. Also that I should know by end of February.

I had a Zoom interview with 2 representatives, everything went well during the interview. I was told that I would hear back from them by Friday of that week, however, only the following week was I asked about my references, who were contacted only a week later. That is keeping in mind that the start date was only 3 weeks away. I tried getting in touch with them (follow up) via e-mail and a phone call, however, I never heard back from them. I was disappointed with how the after-interview process was handled.
