I applied online. I interviewed at BBC (Birmingham, England) in Mar 2016
Interview
After submitting the online application, I was invited to an assessment day and then a second interview a few weeks afterward. The assessment day took place in Birmingham and included a group exercise, an interview with some technical questions, a test and a presentation on the process of filming to transmitting a television program. There was also a tour of the building and an opportunity to ask questions about the role. The second interview was in Cardiff, and was mainly standard competency questions. To their credit, the interviewers and other staff were friendly and helpful.
The process itself was long and felt excessive. Having the two stages located quite far away from both where I lived and where my role would have been based was an inconvenience, as was having to study in detail for the presentation whilst revising for my A-Levels. Additionally, some of the information I was sent prior to the second interview was inaccurate, leading to me preparing for something completely different to the actual interview. The recruitment team agreed to provide me feedback after informing me that I was not successful, though this did not happen despite my requests.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BBC (Birmingham, England) in Dec 2014
Interview
Initially, I applied online, required to fill out my information on their careers site. 3-4 weeks later they requested I pick a date to schedule an interview.
The overall interview process took around 6 hours (with periods of waiting). I was first required to carry out a mathematical skill-based test, which was followed by a group teamwork challenge to assess team working skills.
A quick "interview" session was then ran which assessed technical skills (mostly around electronics) before the actual interview took place. The interview itself was fairly relaxed, both the interviewers being friendly.
