I applied online. I interviewed at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment in Mar 2022
Interview
Had a phone interview with a recruiter, then had a video interview with the hiring manager. After that I was told at the end of my interview with the hiring manager "if you don't hear from HR by the following Monday to reach out"...which I did. Proceeded to get ghosted by said recruiter for 2 weeks.
Based on my experience the interview process goes: phone call with HR, video call with hiring manager, and a day full of video calls from like 4-5 people on the team who you will be working with directly.
Speaking to the hiring manager was fine, they were a chill person and I thought I did decent. Based on how they responded it seemed as if I could go to the next round.
But I think it's so unprofessional that Bandai GHOSTS people. I've been told by others who have worked/interviewed with Bandai that the company ghosts people...like if you don't want me please just let me know so I can move on and not dwell on my status. I've sent follow-up emails to the recruiter and have never gotten a response back. Honestly this ruined the entire experience for me.
I guess they will only respond to you or send you emails if they truly want you? I wish they could respond all those who they did decide to interview.
Just expect to get ghosted if you can get an interview here. HR seems to ignore people a lot and there's nothing applicants can do to try and get a response.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment (Irvine, CA)
Interview
Overall, everyone I interviewed with was really chill, and the recruiter was very responsive.
