Difficult interview
Application
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at BAE Systems in Jun 2025
Interview
I am extremely dissatisfied with the process.
The first stage of the interview process is through HireVue and from my understanding, entirely AI automated.
There are 4 questions requiring a video response, then a shape matching game, a maths game and a 'which are you more like?' choice between images game. The final game is psychometric and clearly has correct answers for what the company wants. There are no technical competency questions at this stage.
Afterwards, you receive a list of insights based on AI analysis of your video recordings. I found that the insights were not accurate to what I had said in the video recording.
I feel a fool for applying and spending my time preparing answers for possible questions when no human will have heard them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When did you have to make a fast decision with limited information?
Medium level leetcode style question during the OA. Your solution then had to be explained during the interview.
All round a bit unprofessional. Took 2 weeks to receive the offer.

Technical explanation question, how would you implement a web service.
I interviewed at BAE Systems (New Malden, England)
Interview
it was a hireview interview, with you recording into some answers to questions, then a leetcode style question (about medium in difficulty) which is fine, finished with some brain training games which was weird but was fine, automated soft rejection a few days later due to mass applicants and was told to keep applying so assuming there was a lot of applicants for the role
