Had an interview with a few basic data science questions and had to give a presentation on a topic of my choosing. No communication for 3 weeks, then I received an offer that seemed like a joke. I have experience and an advanced degree, but they still wanted to offer me less than a reasonable amount. They were not even willing to give what was advertised for the job. Not only that, but they don't provide any health insurance, EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE AN INSURANCE COMPANY. The incredible greed from the hiring manager shows they do not value you as an actual human being. Based on this experience alone, I would advise steering clear of this company. I would only accept their offer if I were extremely desperate, which, thankfully, I wasn't. There was zero willingness to negotiate. Some of the people in the team that interviewed me also didn't seem very advanced in data science/ML, despite their many years of experience. This just illustrates how AVIVA is likely lagging significantly in keeping up with current technology, which is consistent with their willingness to offer pennies.

Interview
Streamlined, quick, no grueling take-home assignments, some interesting on-site tasks. Quick overall and no-nonsense. Short time between first chat and offer received, was pleasantly surprised with that. The interview didn't have any nonsensical questions.
First stage call with DS Manager, second stage presentation of past project and technical interview. They're very keen on business accumen on top of DS knowledge. Therefore slides should be high-level and concise. Definitely include business figures. We increase X by Y% etc.
