I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Autozen in Mar 2023
Interview
I was approached by Autozen because I have experience in a very similar niche industry. What was framed as a 'chat' about a 'potential opportunity' quickly turned into a one way fact finding mission on their end. I was asked about the inner workings of my last company. Processes, systems etc. Hardly anything of substance was asked about me personally.
I got the typical interview questions (describe a time when...) without a real job description in front of me. They even had the gall to ask my salary expectations. Uhh for what job? It was expressed early in the call they didn't know what they were hiring for yet. I countered by asking what the hiring budget was. They danced around this, then asked straight up what I used to make in my last role.
When asking for feedback later in the week, I was ghosted. Seems like they got the info they needed out of me, and that was that. Lesson learned not to disclose as much as I did without a legitimate JD next time.
Based on other reviews, looks like a bullet was dodged here. Beware.

3 step process from interviews to CEO and then a practical for what you're going to do. Overall positive experience. Needed to showcase chinks in the armors and what to do best.

Question 1
What's your experience and how do you relate to the job.
Very relaxed and good interview process! I interviewed with Matt, the head of product, and it felt more like a conversation than being grilled (which was great!). There were 2 interviews (process and product related questions) and one design challenge + presentation with the team. I really enjoyed the whole experience! The whole team was welcoming and curious and they all made it very relaxed and enjoyable. The challenge was right on point (not over reaching) and could be done in 2-4 hours which I think is fair.
