After applying online, I got an email from the Director of Operations inviting me for an on-site interview with the Auster team. I was really excited because I'm all about female leaders especially in the media space.
The office is a pretty cool open space and first met with the Director of Project Management, Arianna at first where we talked about the role and about the clients they work with. I then I walked her through my experience in Social Media and advertising. After speaking to Arianna, I finally met with the founder and CEO, Karen Auster where she interviewed me and wanted to hear more about me about my skills, and work background. Karen then told me that I would need to come to one of their events to cover it on social media. After that event, they sent me a writing sample test for all social media promoting an event they were hosting in the Hamptons.
To make a long story short, I did not know only do these two trial runs I did an additional of two more other social media "tests". They eventually asked me for my references and after all that hard work especially being under a tight deadline I did not get an offer. Oh and Karen venmoed me $100 for all the work I did.
