I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Athleta (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2022
Interview
This has honestly been one of the worst interview experiences I have had. This company that I actually admired does not practice what they preach. The process started out great, very professional and engaging. Moved on to the 2nd round for an interview with the hiring manager. They only give you 30min which in my opinion is not enough time to learn about the role, the company, your background, and ask questions. After the hiring manager talked about the role and issues, I had maybe 10min to talk about myself and within those 10min she kept looking at the clock and emails coming in diverting her attention from the zoom call to what seemed to be more pressing matters. She then proceeded to say that we were out of time but had really enjoyed the chat and would schedule a follow up call. A couple of days later, I received the follow up call meeting. I cleared my very busy schedule and prepared for my meeting and was ready one hour before. The time of the meeting came, and the hiring manager was a no show. One hour after the interview, the recruiter sent an email that the hiring manager was no longer available and they would reach out to reschedule. Monday came by and I received a rejection letter. I found this to be extremely inconsiderate and disrespectful. It is one thing to not be a good fit for a job, it is another to abuse people's time this way.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were NO questions! The hiring manager was not prepared for this interview and didn't even care to look at my resume beforehand. It seemed she didn't even know who she was interviewing. Very disappointing.
