1 Values Interview (behavioural), approximately 1 hour 15 mins. Questions around the 5 core company values.
1 Technical Interview, approximately 1 hour. Questions around the core analytical techniques required by the role.
1 Presentation, approximately 15 mins presentation with 15 mins of questions followed by 15 minutes of background questions concerning the individual role.

Assign peaks in an 1H-NMR spectra to the protons in a small molecule pharmaceutical. This formed a large part of the technical interview.

Applied online. Took 2 weeks. Invited to a face to face interview at their offices in Cambridge. The interviewers were really friendly and made me fell comfortable. Before the interview I was sent a scientific article and asked to prepare a 10 min presentation about the topic answering 2 specific questions ( mainly techniques they are using in their research).
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AstraZeneca (Durham, NC) in Mar 2014
Interview
Contacted by Human Resources to schedule a phone screen. After the phone screen I was called in a for a face to face interview with the hiring manager and staff. I had trouble finding the site but I was not late for the interview.
