I applied online. I interviewed at Articulate Global in Jan 2026
Interview
After having some nice chats with the recruiter and the hiring manager, completed a 2 hour online assessment. Its an assessment where AI is highly encouraged, and seems way too much work to do without AI unless you already know the task details ahead of time. After spending 2 hours on the assessment, was rejected without any reason, and requests for feedback went unanswered.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Articulate Global in Mar 2026
Interview
One of the worst recruiters I have worked with and extremely unorganized interview process. Recruiter reached out to me about a role at Articulate, had a standard screen call, then a call with the hiring manager. Hiring manager informed me that they were close to filling the role I was interviewing for but was assured there were other teams that had positions that needed to be filled. I received the take home assessment and submitted it on time to the recruiter. Did not hear back for over a week. After a follow up email was told the role had been filled and another team may be interested. Turns out that teams roles were filled as well. Then suggested another team and scheduled an interview. I asked for details about the format of the interview - first was told it would be an interview going over my take home, which at that point had been weeks since completing. I studied my takehome. A few days before I asked about IDE, and was told an IDE would not be required because we were not going over the takehome at all. What was the point of the takehome? The following panel interview was with three high level engineers who were nice enough, but the question was a bizarre pseudocode on a google doc where they were looking for one particular answer. Was even told they had pre-scripted answers to any questions I might have? What are you even assessing at that point? That I can get to your predetermined answer from your vague psedocode bug problem? Overall a terrible waste of time.

Interview
It took about 5 weeks. Recruiter phone call, interview with the hiring manager, a take home technical challenge, and what would have been a pair programming session. There were long lapses and some ignored emails during the process where I needed to send a follow up email to figure out what was going on. The hiring manager was late to my interview and asked me questions that seemed more fit for senior level engineers and not the mid level role I was interviewing for. I'm not certain he himself knew what role he was hiring for that I applied for because he never referred to the level of the position directly and all the other questions seemed like generic questions for senior level engineers. The questions also didn't seem well thought out. Lots of yellow/red flags. The responses to why they were hiring didn't match up with each other. Currently no seniors on the team I interviewed for and they don't seem to have a clear or fair pathway for how promotions worked either, which seemed to check out with some of the more recent Glassdoor reviews. Technical challenge was fun for my own learning but was more time intensive than what they listed it "should" take. I didn't move on but I think the Glassdoor reviews are correct and I dodged a bullet.
